A partner in Northpont Collision Consultants in 2010, Carl has been involved with accident investigation and reconstruction for more than 30 years, beginning in 1979 when he was certified as a full time police officer for the City of Concord, New Hampshire. For more than 20 years, Carl served as the lead accident investigator and reconstructionist for serious injury and fatal collisions occurring in the city.

In addition to the responsibility of collecting all pertinent data in these instances, Carl was responsible for generating scaled forensic maps for courtroom presentations in misdemeanor and felony level criminal proceedings. Carl was first certified as an expert witness in accident investigation and reconstruction in 1984. And he had the distinction as being one of only a few certified Drug Recognition Experts (DRE) in the area. He went on to become a DRE Instructor.

After retiring from law enforcement in 1999, Carl worked as a collision reconstructioinist with another New Hampshire based firm. As a senior consultant, he evaluated and reconstructed hundreds of automobile, pedestrian, bicycle, motorcycle and heavy commercial vehicle collisions and assisted in the reconstruction of countless others.

Periodically, Carl returns to the Concord Police Department as an instructor in the proper procedures for collecting and preserving evidence at crash scenes.

Carl has testified as an expert in the field of accident investigation and reconstruction in New Hampshire, Minnesota, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, and Massachusetts.
