Travel - $75.00 per hour 

 

Mileage is billed at the current authorized federal rate. Airline tickets, lodging, car rental, tolls and other related expenses are billed at cost. Please call for a negotiated flat fee for cases that require travel in excess of 4 hours per day. 

 

Testimony - $225.00 per hour 

 

Unless otherwise agreed upon in advance, fees for testimony at depositions, trials and other civil or criminal proceedings, as well as travel and other related expenses shall be paid in advance. A minimum fee of $450.00 is required. No testimony/examination will exceed 2 hours unless an additional $450.00 is paid at or before the time of the extension.

 

Forensic Data Collection (Base Fee) - $799.00

 

The base forensic data collection fee includes data collection/documentation of the scene utilizing an electronic total station survey instrument. Additionally, it includes the production of the scaled working diagram necessary to obtain measurements, perform reconstruction calculations and/or create visual markups to assist the reconstructionist assigned to the case.

 

The base fee is established upon an estimated processing time of 2 hours by two collision reconstruction professionals for a combined fee of $500 ($125/hour) and includes a fee of $299 for use of the electronic total station and the CADD production/printout of the scaled monochrome working diagram. Additional fees may apply for complex and/or extended scenes; however, as a courtesy, additional fees will not apply unless scene processing exceeds 4 hours, in which case only the time exceeding the 4 hours will be billed.

 

Working diagrams are the work product of Northpoint Collision Consultants (NCC) and for INTERNAL USE ONLY. NCC will release a facsimile of a working diagram ONLY upon receipt of a written request from the client, at which time a reasonable copying fee will apply. NCC emphasizes that a working diagram is not designed for and; therefore, should not be utilized as a presentation drawing or formal exhibit.

 

Presentation Diagrams and Exhibits:

 

The following fees apply to the production of presentation diagrams and exhibits from data already collected and charged under the Forensic Data Collection (Base Fee). In effect, these fees account for the additional time needed to transition a working drawing to a printed professional exhibit. At a minimum, presentation diagrams depict the roadway with all markings, signs, objects and physical evidence measured at the scene. Additionally, scaled models of the involved vehicles at relative distances to one another, impact and final rest locations, line-of-sight and notations or tables of calculated times and distances to impact are displayed—everything that is necessary to accurately depict the related sequence of events leading to and following the point of impact. Upon inquiry, Northpoint Collision Consultants will gladly provide you with electronic samples of our professional exhibits at no charge.

Custom Diagrams & Exhibits - $30.00 per hour

 

To emphasize an important aspect of a case we are often tasked with creating custom exhibits that exceed the scope of a traditional plan view. Preparing profile (elevation) views depicting line-of-sight obstacles is one example. And it is commonly necessary to manually enter electronic nodes or field measurements of evidence documented by the police during the course of their investigation. An hourly rate is billed for CADD services provided in these circumstances and for other exhibits not included in the base fee for forensic data collection.

 

ARAS360 Animations

 

3D animations created using ARAS360 software start at a base price of $499. The base price includes one real-time scenario from a view specified by the client. Additional views and scenarios are charged at $99 each unless another fee has been agreed upon in advance. Sample animations will be provided upon request.

 

Low Speed Collisions & Fraudulent Claims - $750.00 per case

 

The fee includes a desktop review and analysis of all materials and an assessment of vehicle damage through photographs. Vehicle dynamics, impact forces, occupant kinematics, and mechanisms of injury are identified in the finished analysis. For cases involving claims of a suspicious nature, the foregoing is examined to determine if claimant allegations and the purported injures are consistent with the alleged collision, or if the damage was pre-existing.

 

Photographs & Processing / Media Storage

 

Reproduction of still/digital photographs is billed at cost plus a 10% handling fee. Media storage on CD or DVD is billed at $25.00 each.
